Feta Hummus

This Feta Hummus is so creamy, zesty, and delicious! It get an undeniable creaminess from crumbled feta cheese and makes plain hummus so much better! This hummus with feta is a favorite snack or party dip, perfect for crackers, pita chips, and veggies.

Hummus with feta cheese

I love how hummus can be customized with so many flavors! I have an olive and feta hummus recipe on this site, but I decided to skip the olives and make hummus with feta cheese. This feta hummus is literally as easy to make as plain hummus—all you do is add some feta to the food processor and process until smooth and creamy.

The feta cheese adds tanginess, creaminess, an a little unique saltiness to hummus. It's REALLY good, I hope you give it a try!

Ingredients

  • 15-oz can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese (about 3-4 oz feta. Do not use low-fat or reduced fat feta because it's not as creamy)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons tahini (or use less if you're not a fan of the flavor. This is my favorite tahini.)
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice (start with 1 tablespoon, add more at the end if needed)
  • 2-4 tablespoons water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • ¼ - ½ teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: crumbled feta, finely diced parsley or oregano, drizzle of olive oil.

Recipe tips and variations

→ Try experimenting with different seasonings: ½ teaspoon cumin or smoked paprika is a great addition.

→ This recipe can be prepared in advance for a party! It keeps really well in the fridge for a couple of days. Just let it come to almost room temperature before serving. The hummus is still good after 2 days, but it might need to be stirred together since some of the liquid might separate out on top. It's totally fine, give it a stir and enjoy!
