Giveaway FAQs:
How many times can I enter?
You can enter once a day for as long as the giveaway is live! Just come back to the giveaway page every day and fill out the entry form again.
How do you choose the winners?
I make a spreadsheet of all the entries received before the giveaway end date (by midnight EST), with each entry on a separate line. I use the www.random.org random number generator to spit out a random number, which I then use to select the winner from the spreadsheet.
The more times you come back to enter each giveaway, the more chances you have to win!
How do the winners get notified? How do I get my prize?
I will email you through the email address you provide when you enter the giveaway. For this reason, please enter with an email address you actually check! Please make sure to add [email protected] to your contacts so that the email goes to your primary inbox and not into the spam, junk, or promotions folders!
You’ll have 5 business days to respond to the email. If you win, you’ll need to provide me with your full name, shipping address, and a phone number in case of any shipping questions. I might have to share this information with the sponsor in order to ship the prize.
If you don’t live in an area where the prize can be shipped, you can either choose a friend/family member to receive the prize, or I will have to unfortunately select another winner (at random). I know, it sucks. Read each giveaway details before entering to save yourself the disappointment!
Do you announce the winners?
I may choose to announce the winner on this website, on my social media channels, or in my newsletter. If I do, I will only share the first name (or a nickname you provide) and city, state, or country. I will never announce your email or full name on a public platform.
Do you share my info with anyone? What happens to my email address?
As I said, I might have to share your full name, shipping address, phone number, and email address with the sponsor solely for shipping purposes. Other than that, only I receive your email address through the Google form you fill out. (If you need more info about Google Forms, you can find that here).
When you enter the giveaway you have two options:
- to opt into receiving emails about new and ongoing giveaways
- to opt into emails about new recipes, posts, cooking tips, and other posts from Babaganosh. You will always be able to unsubscribe. And I don’t send too many emails – honestly I usually forget to send emails and send 1 per week at most!
I would love it if you opted into one or both email options so we can keep in touch, but you absolutely don’t have to in order to enter the giveaways!
I live in _____, can I enter the giveaway? / I have a P.O. Box, can I enter the giveaway?
This really depends on the sponsor and how they will ship the prize! Please take a look at the specific giveaway and those details will be listed. All prizes can be shipped to regular home addresses in the contiguous U.S., some can also be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii, some can also be shipped to Puerto Rico, Canada, and beyond. I try to work it out so that as many places as possible are included, but it doesn’t always work. Sorry, friends from all over the world.
Is a prize guaranteed?
Sometimes (rarely, it hasn’t happened yet!) a sponsor does back out of sending the prize. It can happen if they have turnover in their company and my contact no longer works there when the giveaway is completed, or they simply change their mind about participating. If that happens, I will send you a $10 Amazon.com gift card via mail or email. I know it’s not the same as a shiny new prize, but it’s better than nothing, right?

Your email and name will be kept private, except for when it is needed for shipping.
Giveaways are open to Babaganosh readers who are 18 years or older with continental US shipping addresses only, unless stated otherwise in the specific giveaway. I reserve the right to provide an Amazon.com gift card if a prize is unavailable.
Winners will be notified via the email address provided after the entry deadline date. Winners must respond within 5 business days of this notification or your prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected. Winners must reside in an area where the giveaway is valid, otherwise the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected.
Babaganosh is not responsible for any lost or late entries, electronic, hardware, Internet or other giveaway entry-related malfunctions, giveaway disruptions, injuries, losses or damages, any printing or typographical errors in any content or posts associated with the giveaway, or for prizes that are lost or damaged in shipment.
All federal, state, local or international taxes associated with the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. By entering the giveaway through this website, you release Babaganosh from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, adverse events, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the giveaway or delivery, mis-delivery, acceptance, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to any personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
