Swai

If you have had swai before, you are probably a big fan. How can you not be?? Swai is a tasty white fish that is very quick and easy to cook, it is not too fishy, and it is very reasonably priced. It flakes perfectly and is very tender when cooked.

If you've never had swai, I would recommend you try it out. It is usually sold as a bag of swai fillets in the frozen seafood section of grocery stores. And when it's on sale, you can sometimes find it as cheap as $3 per pound! That's super affordable.

Can I use tilapia instead?

Swai can be used directly instead of tilapia in most recipes. So even if you can't get your hands on swai, feel free to use tilapia in any of the recipes below.

If you don't want to use tilapia, then any white fish fillet, such as flounder or cod, will work in these recipes.

3. Baked Swai in a White Wine Lemon Garlic Sauce

This Baked Swai recipe is one of my most popular recipes on the blog. Here's why: The white wine lemon garlic sauce is so delicious.  It has just the right balance of lemony tang, garlicky goodness, and savory broth flavor. You can make the sauce in advance and then just pour it over your swai fillets and bake for about 15 minutes when it's time to eat.

And this recipe is totally scale-able. You can double it if you want to serve a crowd, but the cooking time wouldn't increase. This is a great recipe for a dinner party, or if you want leftovers for lunch the next day.

This Baked Swai recipe would pair really well with rice, risotto, mashed potatoes, linguine, or any other pasta. Make sure you spoon the extra sauce over the pasta and dip some bread into the sauce.
