I received a three-pack of Top Mates Gourmet Jams and Finishing Sauce to try, and they were all so delicious! They inspired me to share with you one of my favorite ways to add a ton of flavor to chicken breast: with your favorite jam or preserves!
I am not talking about regular strawberry jam – that might be a bit weird! But if you find a good jar of a gourmet flavor such as caramelized garlic or a bacon onion jam, I guarantee that you can make an amazing dinner of grilled/roasted chicken breast topped with these decadent gourmet jams.
Below I share my favorite way of topping chicken breast with gourmet jam or preserves. It’s super easy and super tasty! It is one of my secret kitchen tricks that makes it seem like I worked way harder than I actually did. 🙂
By the way, these gourmet jams can also be used as a quick appetizer – just spoon them over some toasted crostini and your dinner guests will think you’re fancy, or serve with crackers next time you put together a charcuterie or wine and fruit platter. Again, looks fancy but is super easy!
Chicken Breast with Caramelized Onion Gourmet Jam

- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet. Season the chicken breasts liberally with salt & pepper on both sides, and add to skillet. Sear for 3 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.
