Sprinkle of paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or any other seasoningOptional, see notes
Instructions
Cut the asiago slices into 4 ~1-inch cracker-sized pieces.
Heat a non-stick skillet and carefully place the sliced cheese pieces on the skillet. Allow the cheese to melt and bubble, then to settle into the skillet a bit. This should take anywhere between 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on your skillet and cooking temperature.
Use a spatula to carefully flip each slice, cook for another ~15-30 seconds, then remove onto a plate and allow to cool. Enjoy immediately, or store in a sealed container or zip-lock bag for 1-2 days.
Notes
Feel free to season the cheese crisps after flipping them - otherwise the seasonings will burn on the pan. Some seasoning ideas:
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Italian seasoning
Lemon pepper seasoning
Za'atar
Paprika
Cayenne pepper
If the cheese crisps are falling apart while flipping, you need to wait a bit longer before you attempt to flip them. They need to be mostly cooked and crispy on the bottom before you even try to flip. You can try turning the heat up to speed things up a bit.
