Air Fryer Peaches come out delicious, juicy, sweet, and caramelized. The easy 3-ingredient topping adds so much flavor and will make even a bland peach taste amazing!
4peacheshalved and pitted (look for a variety of Freestone peaches, see notes)
¼cupunsalted buttersoftened to room temperature
¼cupbrown sugar(light or dark brown sugar, use whatever you have)
1teaspoonground cinnamon(you can skip or reduce this if you're not a cinnamon fan)
Instructions
Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Check the inside of the peaches to make sure there are no sharp pieces of the pit remaining.
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until you have a well-combined paste.
Place the peaches into the air fryer basket or tray with the cut side up. Top each peach half with the butter mixture.
Cook the peaches in the air fryer for about 7 to 12 minutes until caramelized on top. Check on the peaches around 6-7 minutes, the cook time will vary depending on your air fryer and how caramelized you want the peaches.
Let cool for a few minutes, then serve topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Look for a variety of peach called "freestone" to make it easy to cut in half and remove the pit. Some freestone peaches are: Early Amber, Snow Beauty (a delicious white peach with sweet flesh, Polly (another freestone white peach), Elberta, Gala, Glohaven, Golden Jubilee, Loring.Avoid donut peaches and clingstone peaches, such as Flordaking, Garnet Beauty, Halford, June Gold, Ruby Prince.Air frying tips:
Always check on the food halfway through and about ¾ of the way through cooking to check on the progress of the food, ESPECIALLY if you're cooking something with sugars that can caramelize and burn. All air fryers cook slightly differently.
If you prefer softer, well-cooked peaches, you can air fry a peach for 3-4 minutes, then carefully top it with the butter mixture and continue air frying. This will give the peach time to cook before adding the topping which will start to burn if left in the air fryer for too long.
